Triggers are pathways to empowerment

What's the wisdom and learning in triggers and how to grow through them?

One idea to contemplate

Triggers are gateways to more emotional freedom and peace. Anything that triggers you points to a limiting belief you hold. The trigger is the pathway to the freedom you experience when you see through the limiting belief.

One question for you

What limiting belief do you need to drop for the trigger to not trigger you?

An experiment to try

Think back to a time when you felt triggered. Pinpoint the moment in that situation when you felt most upset. What was the thought prior to that moment? What are three ways in which that thought is not true?

Quote to ponder

“A real work of art destroys, in the consciousness of the receiver, the separation between himself and the artist, nor that alone, but also between himself and all whose minds receive this work of art.” – Leo Tolstoy

What’s on my mind

I’ve been feeling so grateful recently, for anything and everything—good, bad, all the in-between. And the more I feel into that, the more I see the connection between gratitude and presence. It seems to work like this: when the chatter in my head stops, I become present in the here and now, and deep gratitude arises. A felt-sense of energy, vitality, aliveness moving through my body.
