There's nothing more empowering and touching than your authentic being
Living and creating from authenticity, not fear–from what deeply moves you and resonates with you–is how you build the life that truly makes you feel alive.
One idea to contemplate
There’s nothing more empowering than the authenticity of your being. The alignment with all of who you are. The speaking of your truth in the face of doubt and fear. The connection with your heart. The creation from the possibility and potentiality of who you truly are.
One question for you
What does your heart want for you?
An experiment to try
Think of a project that you’ve been postponing but feel authentically drawn to. Identify the fear that’s been holding you back. Sit upright, close your eyes, take a few slow breaths, and stay in silence for a few moments. Let your attention drop to the core of your body and ask, from wonder and without expecting an answer, what your heart’s deepest knowing is about the fear that has been holding you back. See if a knowing comes in the form of a felt-sense, a somatic experience, or a feeling, rather than a thought.
Quote to ponder
“We think that if we just meditated enough or jogged enough or ate perfect food, everything would be perfect. But from the point of view of someone who is awake, that’s death. Seeking security or perfection, rejoicing in feeling confirmed and whole, self-contained and comfortable, is some kind of death. It doesn’t have any fresh air.” – Pema Chödrön, Buddhist teacher, author, and nun
What’s on my mind
I’ve been enjoying the awakening of spring—the days getting longer, the mornings getting brighter, the sweetness in the air. I feel an inner awakening unfolding, also–a pulling back and loosening of the conditioned fears, and dropping into a more energising and authentic presence and being.
