As you commit to yourself, with your all, life moves to meet you there
The biggest obstacle to the life you deeply desire is your doubt that it’s attainable.
An idea to contemplate
Most endeavours don’t succeed because we abandon our self-belief. Your commitment to yourself shapes only but all of your outcomes. Give it your all. Be radical about it. Commit yourself to your highest good: to your self-belief, self-trust and showing up from truth rather than doubt. Nurture, protect, and hone your self-belief. A whole body yes–from mind, heart and gut–to what you truly desire to create sends an energetic signal. Life then moves to meet you there.
Two questions for you
What would you do if you didn’t buy into self-doubt? What does your heart and gut know that your mind hasn’t caught up with yet?
An experiment to try
How does the thought “I believe in myself, in my inherent wisdom, creativity and goodness” feel in your body?
How does “I’m not good enough” feel in your body?
Whenever you notice any physical or mental constriction (tightness, tension, stress, fear, anxiety, black and white thinking, looping thoughts) turn to the thoughts you are thinking. Notice that the constricting thoughts are the thoughts of a “I’m not good enough” part. Thank that part for sharing. Then, tune into the thoughts of your true nature and inherent self-belief, inner peace and joy.
A quote to ponder
“The primary task of any good spiritual teaching is not to answer your questions, but to question your answers.” – Adyashanti, The Way of Liberation
What’s been on my mind
One of my key learnings of the past year is on the profound benefits of embracing and feeling my fears and difficult emotions. Fear of rejection, fear of abandonment, helplessness and perhaps most strongly fear of attack (especially attack by a group of people while having no one on my side) are some of my deepest fears. Welcoming and feeling them whenever they showed up has left me feeling more confident, grounded, safe, connected and clear-minded.
