The actions we take or don’t take are what creates our full experience and results of life.
And who we are—the conscious and subconscious ideas we have about ourselves—is what creates the actions.
Some people focus just on the actions. They chase better habits. More discipline. Different strategies. And end up finding themselves at the starting point over and over again—looking for habits, discipline and strategies that’ll finally stick.
This doesn’t work because our actions are driven by our mindset. And our mindset is shaped by how we see ourselves. How we see ourselves is often rooted in invisible beliefs of inadequacy, unworthiness, fear, and lack.
And so we hustle for a life that proves we’re enough:
More money, because we don’t feel wealthy enough.
A promotion, because we don’t feel impressive enough.
A relationship, because we don’t feel lovable enough.
A better body, because we don’t feel attractive enough.
But here’s the problem: There’s no finish line to “not enough.”
No amount of success can ever satisfy a self-image built on lack.
The fulfilment, peace, joy, and power you’re chasing don’t live in the house, the title, or the number in your bank account. They live in you.
In who you are for yourself.
In your relationship with yourself.
In the extent of inner freedom, peace and presence you feel within.
That’s where the real work is. Not in surface-level solutions, but in the deep inner work.
We change our lives by changing the way we relate to ourselves.
